No sleep my first night. Could have been that it is a different place, different bed and different pillows.....or could have been the people upstairs stomping around at 2am.
I learned that there is another time zone that I didn't know about: UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). What that means is that email alerts I get for aurora spottings are real time. I get zero lead time to get out, look, prepare and shoot.
Basically, that stinks.
The temperature is a cloudy 23 degrees.
Today I am going to hike through the ice and snow to the Hertz rental to get a car.
Then off to go to Eagle River Nature Center.....and Walmart.
